File Fetch
A downloadable tool for macOS
File Fetch
Fresh files and copied text, right from your menu bar.
File Fetch is a lightweight macOS menu bar utility for the things you just used and still need nearby.
It keeps recent downloads, screenshots, documents, images, links, and copied text within easy reach, so you do not have to dig through Finder, your Desktop, Downloads, or your clipboard while you are working.
Built for the messy middle of working
File Fetch is made for temporary things that matter right now:
- A file you just downloaded
- A screenshot you need to send
- Text you copied and do not want to lose
- A document you need to open again quickly
- An image or link you only need for the next few minutes
Features
- Lives in your macOS menu bar
- Tracks newly saved files
- Keeps recent copied text accessible
- Open, reveal, rename, move, copy, or trash files
- Save and reuse copied text
- Light and dark mode support
- Clean, compact, and easy to use
First version, built to grow
This is the first version of File Fetch, and I’ll be improving it as feedback comes in.
If you try it and have an idea, notice something that could feel smoother, or think of a feature that would make it more useful, send it my way. I’m building this around real workflows, so your feedback could shape what gets added next.
You might even see a future feature in File Fetch because of something you suggested.
Simple by design
File Fetch is not trying to replace Finder or become another big workspace app.
It just keeps your freshest files and copied text one click away, so you can stay in your flow.
